Terms and Conditions of the promotion
"Celcom Online Customer Service Sign Up Promo" ("Promotion")
 
1. The Promotion will start on 17th September 2009 until 31st December 2009 only ("Promotion Period").

This Promotion is open to all Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd (27910-A) ("Celcom") postpaid customers - retail only, prepaid and broadband ("Customer") and who have never logged in to Celcom's Online Customer Service (OCS) at www.celcom.com.my/ocs

This Promotion does not apply to staff and employees of Celcom or its related corporations and Customers on any of Celcom's Corporate and Enterprise plans are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.

By participating, the Customer hereby agrees to be bound by these terms & conditions of this Promotion which shall form an integral part and is to be read together with terms and conditions of Celcom's service offered and is relevant to the customer in respect to this Promotion.

In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between these terms and conditions and terms and conditions of Celcom's service, such inconsistency shall be resolved by giving precedence in the following decreasing order (i) these terms and conditions (ii) terms and conditions of Celcom's service.
   
2. Eligibility Criteria
Customers who have never registered or logged on to OCS before the start of the Promotion Period.
   
3. Method of participation
 
3.1 Postpaid Customers :
 
3.1.1 Customer is required to sign up for Celcom's Online Customer Service (OCS) at www.celcom.com.my/ocs and accept the terms and conditions governing and using Celcom's mobile telecommunication service;
3.1.2 Sign up for OCS for the first time, and make a prompt payment via OCS min RM50 OR subscribe to Auto Billing via OCS.
   
3.2 Prepaid Customers:
 
3.2.1 Customer is required to sign up for Celcom's Online Customer Service (OCS) at www.celcom.com.my/ocs and accept the terms and conditions governing and using Celcom's mobile telecommunication service;
3.2.2 Sign up for OCS for the first time during the promotion period and reload min RM30 via OCS.
   
3.3 Broadband Customers:
 
3.3.1 Customer is required to sign up for Celcom's Online Customer Service (OCS) at www.celcom.com.my/ocs and accept the terms and conditions governing and using Celcom's mobile telecommunication service;
3.3.2 Sign up for OCS for the first time during the promotion period and make a prompt payment of min RM68 and subscribe to Auto Billing via OCS.
   
4. Winners' Selection Criteria
 
4.1 Celcom will randomly shortlist the ELIGIBLE Customers on a weekly basis from the database of Customers who have successfully met all criteria as outlined in the Method of Participation. The shortlisted customers will be notified via the mobile number that they have registered for Online Customer Service (notification received after successful sign up with OCS).
   
4.2 Postpaid
Weekly offering will be given from 17th Sept to 31st Dec 2009:
 
One (1) Customer will be selected randomly by the system on a weekly basis from 17th September 2009 until 31st December 2009.

  NOTE:
 
i) All ELIGIBLE Customers must be subscribed to a Celcom Data Unlimited Plan of RM68 OR RM98. Customers who have yet to subscribe to these plans must activate the service before they can redeem their prize.
   
ii) The FREE 1 month BlackBerry® Access will be reflected in the next bill after being signed up successfully for the Celcom Data Unlimited Plan.
   
4.3 Prepaid
Weekly offering will be given from 17th Sept to 31st Dec 2009:
 
One (1) Customer will be selected randomly by the system on a weekly basis from 17th September 2009 until 31st December 2009.
A BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 smartphone.
   
  NOTE:
  A new prepaid BlackBerry® network will be launched by 10th October 2009, thus all ELIGIBLE Customers will be offered that service.
   
4.4 Broadband
Weekly offering will be given from 17th Sept to 31st Dec 2009:
 
Two (2) Customers will be selected randomly by the system on a weekly basis from 17th Sept 2009 to 31st Dec 2009.
Free USB stick.
   
5. Prizes
The following weekly prize will be given out during the Promotion Period:

1 x BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 smartphone ("Device") + One month FREE BlackBerry® access under BlackBerry® Internet Service ("Service") ("Prize") worth up to Ringgit Malaysia two thousand and twenty nine Only.

6. Winners' Notification
Winners will be notified via telephone on the number registered on OCS. One (1) mobile number is eligible to win only once throughout the Promotion Period.
   
7. Granting the Prize
 
7.1 Eligible Customers will be contacted, by telephone, at the Eligible Customer's mobile number as registered on OCS. If the Eligible Customers are not contactable, Celcom shall award the Prize to the next winner in accordance with Celcom's selection process.
   
7.2 Celcom shall not be liable or responsible for any losses caused to the Eligible Customers if the Eligible Customers are not contactable, does not answer the calls from Celcom or is not within the network range, nor far any other situation in which Celcom is not able to get in touch directly.
   
7.3 During the telephone conversation, the Eligible Customers will be asked to provide detailed information (full name, address and personal identification numbers).
   
7.4 Confirmed Eligible Customers will receive a Short Messaging Service (SMS) from Celcom and a redemption letter to redeem their Prize at the location and time to be determined by Celcom.
   
8. Conditions for granting the Prize.
The Prize will be granted to the Eligible Customers, within thirty (30) days from the expiry of the Promotion Period subject to the following conditions and all other conditions outlined in this Terms and Conditions and any other communications related to this Promotion:
 
8.1 Eligible Customers must retain their letter of redemption as verification for the redemption purpose, failing which will result in forfeiture of the Prize. Eligible Customers must show proof of his/her identity upon accepting the Prize. Letter of Authorisation from the Eligible Customers must be presented upon redemption should the identified winner not be able to be redeem the Prize personally.
   
8.2 Eligible Customer's account must remain active and payment must be up to date upon identification as Eligible Customers and redemption of Prize. Failing which, Celcom shall forfeit the Prize and award it to the next winner.
   
8.3 You acknowledge and agree that Celcom reserves the right to disqualify your participation if you are in breach of your obligations or any terms and conditions of this Promotion set out herein or for any reason whatsoever which Celcom deems appropriate.
   
8.4 Celcom accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise, including failure on the part of any participating retail outlets to inform the Customer and entry details to Celcom.
   
8.5 Prizes not claimed by the Eligible Customers shall be forfeited 14 days after the due date for collection and Celcom shall not be liable for any losses or damages suffered by the Customer as a result thereof.
   
8.6 Celcom reserves the right to change, amend and alter any part of this Addendum and/or Package including the terms and conditions without prior notice to the Customer and the Customer agrees to be bound by such changes, amendments and alterations.
   
8.7 Celcom reserves the right to withdraw and terminate the promotion without any prior notice to the Customer.
   
9. All Prizes are not transferable for cash or in kind. Celcom reserves the right to substitute and replace the Prize(s) offered with another Prize(s) of equal value or higher value as Celcom deems fit.
   
10. Should you be declared as an Eligible Customer, you hereby acknowledge that Celcom reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to use your nicknames, names, photographs or video/voice recordings and entries to this Promotion for publicity, advertising, trade, or promotional purpose in any media at no charge to Celcom. However, Celcom shall not be obliged to make any such use of names and/or images. You also consent to and agree to participate in, at your own expense, prize presentation ceremonies and all other publicity events in relation to this Promotion, without payment or compensation. You shall further consent to the public disclosure of any statement, comment or quotation that you may give, and the reproduction, adaptation and translation into any language and publication of the same by Celcom.
   
11. Celcom reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add any part of the whole of these terms and conditions of the Promotion and/or amend and withdraw any Prize without prior notice at any time and the Customer shall be bound by such changes, amendments and variations.
   
12. Celcom shall not be liable for any claims made by you for losses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature. You hereby release Celcom, Celcom's representatives, authorised agencies and sponsors, and the directors, officers, employees and assignees thereof, completely from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, expenses, damages, attorneys' fees, obligations and suits, of any kind, in law, equity or otherwise, whether known or unknown, disclosed and undisclosed, now or hereafter arising out of or in connection with the Promotion, any prizes, your breach of any term or warranty of this and/or your acts or omissions in relation thereto. You further agree to indemnify and hold Celcom, its representatives, authorised agencies and sponsors, and the directors, officers, employees and assignees thereof, harmless from and against any and all such claims, demands, causes of action, expenses, damages, attorneys' fees, obligations and suits.
   
13. Celcom shall not be responsible or liable for any claims of loss or damage to property or any personal injury or loss of life resulting from or in connection with this Promotion or the Prize given under this Promotion. Celcom disclaims any warranties or liabilities for the merchantability and fitness of the Prize supplied under this Promotion. The warranties applicable for the Prize are subject to the terms and conditions provided by the manufacturer or supplier of the Prize, in particular, in respect to the quality of the Prize redeemed of their suitability for any purpose.
   
14. All decisions by Celcom are final and conclusive. No appeal and correspondences shall be entertained.
